Last week we updated our running list of proxy contests under universal proxy, with the usual comings and goings. Two proxy contests stood out as especially interesting, with additional moves that pressure the companies. One includes a consent solicitation, the other a solicitation in opposition to a deal. Both represent innovative ways to pursue activist goals for a portfolio company.
